Our Founder: An Extraordinary Tale 

Founded in 2000 in the heart of New York’s Diamond District, Star Rays NY Inc. has grown into a leading diamond wholesaler and jewelry manufacturer. The company was established by Kiran Vaghashiya, who built SRNY from the ground up after beginning his journey in the diamond trade as a teenager in Surat, India — known as the “Diamond City.” With little formal education but deep determination, Kiran rose through the ranks, mastering every aspect of the trade, from cutting to international sales. After moving to the U.S. in 1995, he founded SRNY just five years later. Following his unexpected passing in 2017, his wife, Pallavi, stepped in to carry forward his vision. Today, SRNY continues to honor Kiran’s legacy with strength and purpose in the diamond and jewelry industry.
